With FBA, Amazon stores and ships your products and you pay fulfillment and storage fees. With FBM, you store and ship them yourself. FBM often makes sense for large or heavy items, slow-moving products, custom or branded packaging, and products where FBA storage fees eat the margin.

Amazon measures FBM sellers on late shipment rate, valid tracking rate and order defects. Amazon’s published targets include a late shipment rate under 4% and a valid tracking rate above 95%. Miss them and your account can lose the Buy Box or be suspended.
